How it works

Stop asking for their address.

The privacy protocol for sending any crypto to any X account. Built on NEAR. Private by default.

Every X account already has addresses

Every X account has a permanent numeric ID that never changes, even when the @ does. We combine that ID with NEAR Chain Signatures, NEAR’s decentralized MPC network that can sign for addresses on other blockchains, to calculate deposit addresses for the account: one on Bitcoin, one shared by all the EVM chains, one on Solana, plus a private account in NEAR Intents.

Nobody has to sign up first. The addresses exist the moment they are calculated, for any account, on Bitcoin, Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Robinhood Chain, BNB Chain, Solana.

Because addresses come from the ID and not the name, renaming an account keeps the same addresses. If someone else later takes over an old @, they get different addresses, and the confirm card warns senders about it.

Sending privately

  • Type the @ and check the profile card. Money sent to the wrong person cannot be returned.
  • Pick the chain and coin you are paying with, and the amount. You can also choose what they receive, for example USDC.
  • You get a quote with every fee, the estimated time and a list of what will be public. Then you pay a one-time deposit address from your own wallet.
  • The payment settles through NEAR Intents into the recipient’s confidential balance. If a payment fails before it is credited (say the quote expired), it is refunded to your wallet automatically.

Sending to a public address

Every @ page lists its public deposit addresses. Anyone can send to them from any wallet, with no app. Those transfers are visible on-chain, and once they are final they are moved into the account’s private balance automatically.

Opening your wallet

The owner signs in with X. The sign-in is checked by an agent running inside secure hardware (a TEE, attested on-chain), which learns only the numeric ID and public profile and never gets permission to post. The owner then sees their private balance and can use it.

Using the money

  • Withdraw to any wallet on any supported chain.
  • Swap between assets without leaving the private balance.
  • Withdraw ZEC to your own Zcash wallet.
  • While the system key is active, withdrawals have a daily limit, large ones wait 24 hours in a queue you can cancel, and all of them need a recent sign-in.

Taking full ownership

After signing in, owners can add their own key (a passkey or a wallet) and then remove the system key. After that, only their key can move their money.

Fees

Receiving is free, and senders pay only the network. Sealed takes 0.5% of what you received plus 0.25% when you withdraw it (0.75% in total); swaps inside your private balance pay only the network. The chains and the settlement network charge their own fees on top; every quote lists them all before you confirm.
